Disney Springs Dining Diaries: From The Polite Pig to Splitsville
When it comes to dining at Disney Springs, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by choices. But on a recent trip, I zeroed in on two crowd favorites: The Polite Pig and Splitsville Luxury Lanes. Very different vibes, very different menus, and both absolutely worth a visit. I hit The Polite Pig first for a barbecue feast, then circled back a few days later to try the food-forward fun at Splitsville. Here’s how each stacked up.
The Polite Pig: Barbecue with a Capital B
This wasn’t my first time hearing about The Polite Pig. Between the MICHELIN Guide recommendation and the nonstop praise from Orlando locals, I had high expectations and they delivered. It’s right in the Town Center near the Lime Garage, so location-wise, it’s perfect for popping in before or after some Disney Springs exploring.
We ordered the Butcher Board to share, and if you’re into barbecue, this is your move. Pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, and enough sides to make you question your dinner plans later. Everything on that tray had a purpose. The meats were juicy and well-smoked, the sides were full of personality (those sweet potato tots are something else), and the sauces at the self-serve bar added a fun mix-and-match element.
It’s fast casual, but the quality punches well above its category. Pair it with a local beer, one of their craft cocktails, or a something from their selection of bourbon and you’ve got a perfect, no-fuss meal that still feels special.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes: Food First, Bowling Optional
A few days later, I was back at Disney Springs and ready for something different. Enter Splitsville. This place leans hard into the retro bowling vibe but don’t let that distract you. The food here is way more than an afterthought.
We skipped the lanes and went straight for the menu. The Steak and Fries caught my eye, and the Chicken Fried Rice was calling, so we did what any responsible eater would do: ordered both. The steak was tender, nicely seasoned, and came with perfectly crisp fries. The fried rice was a total surprise, flavorful, balanced, and clearly made with care.
And then there was the frozen drink flight. A mix of colorful, boozy slushies served in mini glasses that felt just festive enough without being too sweet. It turned dinner into a laid-back celebration with music playing and a buzz of energy all around.

The Verdict
The Polite Pig is the place to go when you want fast casual, amazing BBQ that hits like a sit-down dinner. It’s flavorful, filling, and the Butcher Board is a standout for sharing.
Splitsville is ideal for a more social, anything-goes night out. Whether you’re bowling or just there for the food and drinks, it’s fun, relaxed, and surprisingly satisfying.
Two meals, two moods, and both worth making room in your Disney Springs itinerary.
